These elephants are all hand carved in Northern Thailand, in an Amphur called Lamphun. The village factory has many skilled wood carvers, including members of Keson’s family. As such, we can guarantee the quality and ethical nature of these carvings. The wood used is known as monkey wood and comes from sustainable sources. Northern Thailand is one of the few locales in the world where Asian elephants still roam free.
The handcrafted nature of this item will produce minor differences in design, colour and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to the unique quality of individual creations. Measurements may vary slightly.
