Wall Dragon

These Thai dragons are hugely symbolic creatures for Buddhists in Thailand. In and around the grounds of Thai temples you will find many mythical creatures from the Himapan forest, including the Naga (king snake, often seen on the hand rails of the main temple building), Garuda (half man half eagle - symbol of the King of Thailand), Rajasi (known by many as a Singha - as seen on the beer), Hong (a bird of infinate grace) and Kinnari (half beautiful woman, half swan).  It is said that Hera (the lotus) was the offspring of Naga and a dragon.

These dragons are hand carved from compressed sawdust, and as such will vary slightly from piece to piece, although they are all very similar to the picture you see.  We currently stock these dragons in three colours; blue, red and green.

This dragon can be attached to the wall and measures approximately 18 inches long.
